Today has been a day, folks! With a rotten interaction at Starbucks between me and a barista this morning, a packed line at Costco, a return not going through on my credit card, and people’s attitude’s being overall crappy, today has been a day. I would say we are most certainly in the holiday season, especially by how crappy people are acting today. It makes me thankful that I got all of my errands and shopping done today because honestly, the place I want to be at this week is a store.
I feel like we are knee-deep in this post-Mercury Retrograde shadow. We ended Mercury Retrograde last week, and I feel like people are still feeling the ill effects of it. It can usually take a few days to come out of this post retrograde shadow. Tomorrow is a new moon so things should settle out a bit moving forward from tomorrow.
Thanksgiving is this Thursday! Are you guys excited? We are having a quiet turkey day at home and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m taking it easy this Thanksgiving Day. I’m not even making desserts this year. Shhhhh…don’t tell my family. I picked up a super cheap organic pumpkin pie from Costco today and I’m pretty satisfied with it. I also picked up extra creamy heavy whip cream from the store and I’m pretty stoked about that too. I’m still making my turkey and all of my side dishes, so I’ll still be spending the good portion of the day cooking.
After Thanksgiving though, I’m taking a break. I’m approaching burnout and that isn’t good. And by a break, I mean a real break. No social media, no blogging, nothing. In fact, I’m not even going to allow myself to go on my computer at all if I can help it. Well, except for those Black Friday Sales. I’m also excited to finish decorating my house for Christmas on Friday. It will be fun to chop down a Christmas tree from our farm and spend the day decorating and eating pumpkin pie and drinking hot cocoa. I need a break. I’m wiped out and I need some time to reset and recharge. How about you guys? Are you feeling burnout? If you are, I highly suggest you taking a break to turn inwards and tune into your needs.
Not to worry though, because the blog will still have published content. I’ve got some fun Thanksgiving leftover recipes for you guys that I’m excited to share! I also have some new content coming to the anxiety section of my blog that I’m looking forward to updating you guys on.
This homemade cranberry sauce is super easy to make. All you need is fresh orange juice, fresh cranberries, mandarin oranges, and some organic sugar and lemon juice. That’s it! Please don’t buy store-bought cranberry sauce! Please try making my recipe and I promise you, you will never go back to store-bought or canned cranberry sauce again. Canned cranberry sauce tastes like metal and it’s really not good for you. Plus, my homemade cranberry sauce tastes delicious with leftovers the next day.
Stay tuned for more Thanksgiving Day leftovers recipes hitting the blog this week! I hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving! Remember, stay off your phone and focus on what’s really important: Family.
