Bacon Penne Pasta

Bacon Penne Pasta is the ultimate comfort food, and the best part is it takes less than 20 minutes to make. And yes it tastes just like the classic BLT Sandwich. Made with freshly cooked bacon, arugula, cherry tomatoes, penne pasta, and fresh Parmesan cheese, bacon, and parmesan penne pasta is one recipe you don’t want to miss!

Ingredients
  

  • 1- box penne pasta
  • ½- pound bacon chopped and cooked
  • ½- cup chopped white onion
  • 2- cups heavy cream
  • 2- cups freshly grated parmesan
  • 1-to mato chopped, or 1-cup cherry tomatoes
  • ¼- cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2- cups arugula
  • Himalayan sea salt and black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook the penne pasta according to package directions 
  • Saute the chopped bacon and white onion together until cooked thoroughly 
  • Add the heavy cream and 1-cup parmesan to the bacon and onion and saute on low heat for 5-minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.
  • Next, add in the chopped tomatoes 
  • Add in the fresh lemon juice 
  • Toss in the penne pasta and combine
  • Toss in the arugula 
  • Add more parmesan and combine. 
  • Serve immediately 
  • Garnish with Himalayan sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

🍝 FAQ For Bacon Penne Alla Vodka

Pasta with bacon and bacon and pasta recipes are easy to make and are wonderful bacon pasta dishes. You could add spinach instead of arugula and make bacon spinach penne pasta.
Bacon Parmesan pasta will last up to three days in the fridge in a glass, airtight container. I do not recommend freezing this pasta as this pasta bacon recipe does not freeze well.
How do you know when penne pasta is done?
  • Penne pasta should be cooked al dente and for no longer than 7-minutes. You'll know the penne pasta is done. You can also check the penne itself. At the bottom of the pasta tube there be a ring around it. For pasta that's al dente, there should be a thin ring of that lighter color inside.
How do I cook prepare pasta carbonara with cream parmesan and bacon?
  • Once the penne pasta and bacon is cooked, simply add the cream and other ingredients and combine until everything has thickened.
