Ingredients

  • 1 can Fiesta Nacho Cheese
  • 1 bag Sharp Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup fresh salsa
  • 2 tablespoon pepperoncini's
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped, optional

Instructions

  • In a saucepan over low heat, heat up the Fiest nacho cheese.
  • Add the shredded sharp cheddar cheese and melt the Fiesta Nacho cheese and cheddar cheese over medium heat. This turns it into a Queso Cheese.
  • Add the garlic salt, onion powder, and black pepper to the nacho cheese mixture.
  • Add the salsa and mix everything together and simmer over medium heat until the salsa cheese mixture is bubbling.
  • After the taco bell salsa con queso is well combined, top with pepperoncini's and fresh cilantro, remove from heat, and taste test it by dipping it into some fresh tortilla chips. Yum!

  • Yes it is! As long as you use gluten-free chips of course
Is Salsa Con Queso healthy?
  • No, but it's not super unhealthy, it's a great snack for appetizers and parties!
How To make this dip with Velveeta cheese?
  • You can add Velveeta cheese, but it will give this recipe a way different taste and texture. I recommend using real cheese at all times for this recipe.

  • You can store this nacho cheese dip in a glass, sealed airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. I wouldn't go anything beyond the three-day mark as most of the ingredients in this recipe are fresh!
