- Large Muffin Tin
- Stand Mixer with mixing paddle or large mixing bowl

- Step 2: In a stand mixer, combine the softened room temperature cream cheese and the sugar and mix well until you have a batter formed.
- Step 3: Place the puff pastry sheets into the large sprayed muffin and for them into cups.
- Step 4: Add a tablespoon of cream cheese to the puff pastry cups, but don't overfill.
- Step 5: Add a tablespoon of the sugar plum jam over the cream cheese layer, and again, don't overfill. Brush the crust with eggwash.
- Step 6: Bake sugar plum Danish Starbucks pastry for 30 minutes or until golden brown. The edges should be crispy. Let Danish cool to room temperature BEFORE removing from muffin tin.
Step 7: Let Sugar Plum Cheese Danish cool on a wire rack before serving. Trust me, let them cool. These pastries get very hot during the cooking process. Let them cool and enjoy with some coffee.
Top Tip For Sugar Plum Danish Recipe
Make sure to brush the pastry with eggwash before you place them in the oven. This creates a golden crispy layer around the pastry and makes it taste better. An egg wash can also help seal the edges of filled pastries or hand pies and help any sprinkled sugar adhere to the dough. The French put eggwash on all of their pastry recipes before going into the oven, and for good reason!
What is the best way to store Sugar Plum Cheese Danish?
Store Sugar Plum Chese Danish on the countertop in a glass airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. These need to be refrigerated because of the cream cheese. You can stash a batch of these in the freezer and simply reheat them on a baking sheet at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. They are best consumed right away or as fresh as possible.
