Chai Latte With Pumpkin Spice

Genevieve Jerome
Chai latte with pumpkin spice is the perfect warm and cozy fall drink. This super easy Homemade Pumpkin Spice Chai is similar to a Starbucks PSL with chai recipe, but it's conveniently made right at home. Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte Starbucks is made with Tazo pumpkin chai black tea, pumpkin puree, honey, molasses, heavy cream, and pumpkin spice. Tis the season for all things pumpkin!

Ingredients

Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup Tazo Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte Cocentrate
  • ½ cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 tablespoon Molasses
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Puremade Pumpkin Syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin Cream Foam

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom

Instructions

Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte

  • In a saucepan on the stovetop over medium heat, add milk of choice and the Tazo pumpkin chai tea latte concentrate and stir.
  • Add the pumpkin syrup, molasses, honey, ½ the pumpkin puree to the saucepan and mix until everything is well combined with the pumpkin chai tea.

Pumpkin Cream Foam

  • For the pumpkin cream cold foam, add the pumpkin puree, honey, pumpkin spice, and heavy cream to a milk frother and mix to combine the ingredients. Turn the milk frother on latte setting and steam the milk until it's thick, frothy, and warm. Or use a milk frothing wand to do this.
  • Grab some big coffee mugs or pumpkin 🎃 mugs and pour the prepared pumpkin chai tea latte into the mugs and top with that delicious pumpkin cream foam.
  • Top with more pumpkin spice and cardamom and drizzle with more pumpkin syrup, and take that first sip of the pumpkin spiced chai latte and enjoy!

Notes

What is the origin of the chai latte?
  • Originating in India the beverage has gained worldwide popularity, becoming a feature in many coffee and tea houses, with many using the term chai latte or chai tea latte for their version to indicate that it is made with steamed milk, much like that used to make a caffè latte but mixed with a spiced tea concentrate
What are optional ad-in's for this recipe?
  • You could add maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground ginger, all-spice, and more spices of choice to this delicious pumpkin chai latte recipe.
What's the difference between cold foam and steamed milk?
  • The only difference is the cold foam isn't warmed up first. So instead of using a milk steamer to warm the milk, you use a milk frother instead which keeps the milk cold, i.e.- cold foam. (The more you know :)
