Easy homemade waffles should be a staple in every household in and for good reason. My easy, homemade waffles are made from scratch and can be prepped ahead of time so that you’ll have waffles for recipes all week. Made with clean ingredients that you already have in your panty. My recipe has one secret ingredient that makes these waffles unique and more delicious than most.
HOMEMADE WAFFLES ARE EASY TO MAKE HOME
JUMP TO RECIPE
Easy homemade waffles are a delicious alternative to store-bought waffles. Fluffy, delicious, and easy to make, this is one breakfast recipe you’ll be adding to your weekly menu. Do you ever wake up on a Saturday morning and think to yourself, mmmm waffles would be so delicious right about now? Saturday’s are the perfect waffle day!
IT’S SUMMERTIME AND THE LIVING IS EASY
It’s summertime and the days feel longer and weekend mornings can be spent right at home with loved ones. The way summer should be.
I actually can’t take credit for this recipe though as it’s actually my husband’s recipe. Shane makes an amazing breakfast! I’ve always joked with him that he needs to start his own breakfast food truck. He also makes amazing breakfast burritos which I need to get up here soon.
These easy homemade waffles are the melt in your mouth, fluffy, delicious buttery goodness that waffles should be. Crispy on the outside, but moist and delicious in the middle. They have a slight crunch to them and taste amazing with grass-fed butter and loads of pure maple syrup.
USE A GOOD QUALITY MAPLE SYRUP AND BUTTER
It’s no secret that our favorite grass-fed butter is Kerry Gold (not sponsored, are you kidding, I wish they would sponsor me!) and Trader Joe’s Canadian maple syrup. The stuff in the tall bottle that’s pricey but worth every penny.
You can of course substitute using any butter you like or go dairy-free if that’s your jam. I recommend that you get a good quality maple syrup.
My secret ingredient for delicious and perfect waffles is walnut oil. Walnut Oil helps make the most buttery, fluffy, crispy, rich waffles you’ve ever eaten.
Walnut oil gives the waffles a delicious nutty flavor that elevates traditional homemade waffles. If you have a nut allergy, simply leave out the walnut oil and use vegetable oil instead.
WAFFLES FOR FOOD PREP? YES PLEASE!
These waffles can be made any day of the week and can be prepped ahead of time to use in various meals. Do you know all of the amazing things you can do with waffles?
You can make sandwiches out of them, make Egg’s Benedict waffles, you can even make spaghetti waffles.
There are so many delicious things you can do with waffles made from scratch that the wafflebilities are truly endless. See what I did there? Wafflebiliites but like possibilities. Okay, I’m done with the puns now.
Our waffle maker is one of the most used appliances in our house and right now our favorite brand is the the Hamilton Beach Waffle Maker. Same brand as my juicer that I use daily on IG stories. I like easy and affordable and this waffle iron fits the bill.
