SIMPLE HOMEMADE PIMENTO CHEESE IS KNOWN AS THE CAVIAR OF THE SOUTH
Pimento cheese is known as the caviar of the south. Did you guys know that? I literally just learned this cool fact the other day. If you follow me on Instagram then you know I’m obsessed with Pub Cheese from Trader Joe’s. Well, not to toot my own horn, but this recipe is better than the famous stuff you can buy at the grocery store. Pimento cheese certainly isn’t the healthiest recipe in the world, but it’s delicious and perfect for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday!
A DELICIOUS AND EASY CHEESE SPREAD TO BE ENJOYED ALL YEAR LONG
This easy cheesy spread will make bellies happy and can be put on anything like crackers, fresh veggies, sandwiches, and omelets. The possibilities are endless! Or the spreadabilities. Pardon my pun.
I love this simple homemade pimento cheese recipe so much that I won’t be spending money on Pub Cheese anymore. This delicious pimento cheese can be made ahead of time and will keep fresh in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
COOKING IN THE KITCHEN SOOTHES THE SOUL
I injured my shoulder last week (not good for a recipe developer) but I’m lucky that my mom is off this week and has been helping me in the studio! We had a hilarious time making this pimento cheese because the dogs wanted in on the action.
Laughing and creating recipes with loved ones is one of my favorite past times. My mom and I always have a fun time in the kitchen. You should see our behind the scenes stuff on video. One of these days I need to make a reel of it because it’s hilarious and the world needs more laughing right now.
CHOP UP FRESH VEGGIES FOR A DELICIOUS APPETIZER PLATTER
What are your plans for the Fourth of July? Pimento cheese is the perfect appetizer for Independence Day! Add this delicious cheese to any vegetable platter and you will be the hit of the potluck.
I love to chop up fresh cucumbers like lemon cucumbers, Persian cucumbers, bell peppers, carrots, olives, celery, and radish and add this simple pimento cheese to the middle and use it as a veggie dip. This easy appetizer recipe takes no time at all is wonderful for movie nights with the family and all of the summer events!
SIMPLE INGREDIENTS, MINIMAL TIME
All you need for this easy cheese spread is mayo, cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, pimentos (you could also use whole pimento olives too), and spices.
CAYENNE PEPPER AND PAPRIKA ARE MY SECRETS TO THIS DELICIOUS PIMENTO CHEESE
My trick to making this pimento cheese spread stand out, even more, is to add cayenne pepper and paprika. Trust me, you’ll love it! You don’t need to add too much cayenne pepper, just a smidge will do the trick!
You will also need a food processor for this recipe. I’m obsessed with this mini one that I picked up from Home Good’s ages ago, but Amazon has a great one too for a decent price.
My simple homemade pimento cheese recipe will please your guests and will be a hit at all of your upcoming summer family functions!
