It’s springtime, so you guys know what that means. It’s time to clean out the cobwebs, dust off the shelves, and get those pantries cleaned and ready for spring! Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes are helping me do just that with their new Simply Lemon and Free & Clear scents! You guys know we have a zoo full of pets, so it’s really important to me that we use cleaning products that are safe to use around pets and children. Did you know that Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes are safe to use around kids and pets? They also come in a 75-count tub ensuring you will have plenty for all of your cleaning needs. What’s even better is that these wipes clean without harsh chemicals and they are compostable and made of a plant-based cloth. Clorox® is making some big efforts in sustainability to help make the world a better place and having compostable wipes is one of them.
Our pantry, besides the kitchen, is one of the most used rooms in our home. We go in and out of there constantly, and we also have our pantry as a dedicated pet room and a laundry room. To say this room has tons of uses is an understatement. This room gets messy a lot and for good reason. The dogs and cats eat in there, I stock extra food in the pantry, and we do loads of laundry in this room. I need to keep it consistently clean or it becomes a wreck really quickly! Thankfully, Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes helped me clean out my pantry and I was able to do a complete overhaul on it. I worked on making it cleaner, putting dry foods in labeled canisters, and cleaning off those dusty shelves.
The first step to cleaning out any pantry is to take everything out of it first. I took everything off the shelves and removed everything from the baskets and did an inventory of what I need to keep and what I can donate or toss. I went through all of the dry foods first, then moved onto the drinks, then onto the pet food and pet items. I saved the house cleaning products for last. The second step is to find any expired food. Anything that’s expired toss it. Then, I put all of the extra canned items that we had no use for in bags to donate to my neighbor, or you could also donate the extra food to a food bank. Next, I had all of my food organized and stashed crackers and cereals in wicker baskets that are functional and look cute in my panty. I wiped all of the wooden baskets with Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes (the Simply Lemon scent is my favorite!) and wiped down all the shelves a few times through using the Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes to ensure cleanliness.
Next, I organized all of the pet items and set aside donations for extra pet stuff we no longer need. I wiped down my washing machine, the dog and cat food bins, and the litter box using the Clorox® Compostable Simply Lemon Cleaning Wipes ensuring everything got super clean. The scent of these wipes is delightful and makes cleaning that much more fun! Next, I put a pretty wood slab on my washing machine and hung two cute laundry signs to give my pantry that added a farmhouse look.
After everything was clean and wiped down, I organized my dry foods into cute canisters that had labels on them like rice, oats, and sugar, so I knew what each canister had in them. Cleaning out my pantry was a breeze and took no time at all thanks to the help of Clorox® Compostable Cleaning Wipes! These wipes are super easy to use and I love that I can simply toss them in the composting bin when I’m done with them.
