🍊 How To Make Chocolate Orange Loaf Cake
Now that you know what you'll need for Orange Chocolate Bread let's bake it!
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350-degrees.
Step 2: Line a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. Grease sides of pan or line with a paper loaf-pan liner.
Pro Tip: I find using wax paper is much easier and helps keep the moisture of the cake, versus greasing a loaf pan with butter. If you have wax paper on hand, use it. Don't worry if the wax paper fluffs up. The cake batter will weigh it down. Set the cake pan aside and prep the cake batter.
Step 3: Add the dry ingredients to a stand mixer first. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and Himalayan Sea Salt. Mix on low until combined.
Step 4: You can use an electric stand mixer or a large mixing bowl for this recipe. I find either way works wonderfully! Add the eggs, melted butter, coconut oil, orange juice, orange oil, and orange zest and mix on medium speed.
Step 5: Pour the prepared loaf cake batter into the cake loaf tin pan. Add the chocolate chips to the top of the batter and add the fresh orange zest. Adding the chocolate chips to the top of the cake batter will ensure the chocolate bakes evenly into the orange chocolate pound cake.
Step 6: Bake at 350-degrees F for 55-60 minutes. Let to cool for 10-minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Add more mandarin orange zest to the top of the loaf cake. Let cake cook to room temperature. Slice and enjoy! 😋 These slices turn into loaf cakes which are delectable and such a treat!
