What's the difference between hot chocolate and hot cocoa?

Hot Chocolate is made using solid chocolate melted in warm milk or cream. Hot Cocoa, however, is made from a powdered base of cocoa with added sugar and dissolved in hot water or hot milk. This recipe is considered hot chocolate because we use chocolate as the base.

two glasses of fresh strawberry chocolate milk
no need for food coloring in this recipe. we use real ingredients only!

    Top Tip

Don't let the milk curdle. Heat the milk at a medium to lower temperature and let it slowly heat up so the milk doesn't curdle or burn.
