🍫 Instructions For Pumpkin Pie Hot Chocolate
Let's make pumpkin spiced hot chocolate
Step 1: Prep your pumpkin by washing it clean and towel drying. Slice off the top of the pumpkin. Then, scoop out the seeds and innards of the pumpkin until it's hallowed out. Set aside. ( I used a Baby Bear Pumpkin for this recipe )
Step 2: In a Dutch oven or small saucepan whisk add the milk, cream, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract, together over medium heat until chocolate chips are melted and hot chocolate is smooth, 3 to 5 minutes. Add in the pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice and stir until fully incorporated.
The Autumn hot chocolate should be nice and thick.
Step 3: Pour the prepared pumpkin spice hot chocolate mix into the hollowed-out pumpkin, top with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, nutmeg, and more pumpkin spice. Top with star anise. (optional)
Enjoy this hot pumpkin drink with friends!
