    • Preheat oven to 400-degrees farenheit
    • Do not grease the donut pan
    • Combine the dry ingredients. Add the sea salt, nutmeg, flour, and baking powder to a mixing bowl and combine well.
    • Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, the buttermilk, sour cream, eggs, coconut oil, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
    • Your donut batter is now prepared! Place donut pan on cookie sheet. Fill each cup ¾ full using a spoon.
    • Place the donut pan in the middle oven rack. Bake for 12-15 minutes until tops spring back.
    • Remove from the oven and wait 10 minutes or until the panis touchable. Turn the pan over onto the cooling rack and gently push the donuts down with your fingers.
    • While your donuts are cooling, prepare the chocolate. You can easily melt the yellow candy melts (chocolate) using a candy melter or the old-fashioned way on the stovetop. Fill a saucepan with 1-2 inches of water. Place on the stovetop and bring to a boil. Place a glass bowl on top of the saucepan. Add chocolate in the glass bowl and mix frequently, ensuring that all the chocolate incorporates and melts consistently (2 to 3 minutes).
    • Dip your donuts quickly into the melted chocolate until well-coated. Add the eyeballs to the bottom of the donut by using a tootpick and coating the backs of them with the melted chocolate (this will ensure the candy eyes stick to the donuts) Repeat this step with the candy hearts and place the candy hearts upside down to create the mouth for the chicken. Add chicken hair at the top of the donut, using decorative frosting, and some sprinkles. You now have easter chicklet donuts.
