Do you guys love chocolate? I'm not sure it's possible to love chocolate as much as I do, but if you do then my healthy brownies recipe is just for you! These babies are moist, gooey, and oh so delicious. These brownies literally melt in your mouth goodness and would be delicious with some vanilla coconut ice cream on top. Seriously, though you must make these. These are also special brownies (no, not those kinds, get your head out of the gutter! 😉 These brownies have added nutrients in them because they are made with fresh turmeric and fresh strawberries.
Most brownies have a lot of additives, oils, and fillers in them, but you just don't need that in your food. And don't even get me started on the boxed baking versions you can pick up at the store. Make my fresh, clean brownies and you'll never look at the boxed ones again. Trust me.
My brownies are super moist and if you like super moist brownies like I do then be sure and bake them for a shorter amount of time. Whereas if you like brownies on the crispier side then bake them for a long period of time. Either way will be delicious and can serve that hankering for a chocolate craving anytime. https://www.youtube.com/embed/bzW4grf-sps?wmode=opaque&enablejsapi=1
Since these are fresh brownies with fresh ingredients in them they are best kept stored in a glass, airtight container at room temperature. You can also make an extra batch and freeze them for later treats.
I used a kitchen aid stand mixer for these brownies, but you could hand mix everything if you wanted too, it just may be a bit harder. I recommend using a stand mixer if you can though so that everything mixes evenly together.
This recipe calls for two large eggs. Make sure you bring them to room temperature first though. This recipe also calls for coconut oil. Make sure to warm up the coconut oil until it liquifies and then let it cool as well. You don't want the coconut oil to cook the eggs in the batter before you place the prepared batter in the oven.
For this recipe, I used an 8x8 baking pan that is sprayed with high heat coconut oil. Don't forget to spray your pan before putting the batter in.
I added fresh cacao powder and sprinkles to the tops of my brownies, but feel free to add whatever toppings you wish. Shredded coconut and lemon zest are delicious on these brownies.
I hope you guys enjoy making these brownies and that you enjoy my new YouTube video! Comment below and let me know if you try making these and what your favorite toppings are.
