    HOW TO MAKE DALGONA COFFEE

Dalgona coffee is a wonderful recipe to make with kids because it’s so fun! The other wild part about Dalgona coffee is that it’s literally whipped cream coffee so you can store leftovers in the fridge and have whipped coffee to use as yummy dessert toppings.

    WATCH ME WHIP

Since we are all stuck at home, most of us are doing our best to stay positive and channel our inner baristas. I decided to hop on the TikTok train and try my hand at making Dalgona coffee. The results were fantastic and I had a blast making this delicious whipped coffee at home. I filmed a recipe on how to make this delectable coffee that you can check out below.

This recipe was so fun to make and it was amazing to watch the coffee turn into Dalgona coffee, a.k.a whipped coffee. At first, I assumed it would not work because nothing was happening, but then all of a sudden the coffee mixture expanded in size and whipped coffee started to form.

THE FASTEST GROWING TREND ON THE INTERNET

Dalgona coffee is a wonderful recipe to make with kids because it’s so fun! The other wild part about Dalgona coffee is that it’s literally whipped cream coffee so you can store leftovers in the fridge and have whipped coffee to use as yummy dessert toppings.

I was hesitant at first that this recipe wouldn’t work, but it actually did and tasted really yummy! A forewarning though, Dalgona coffee is super sweet. If you are a coffee connoisseur like me, cut the sugar ration in half so you can still have that delicious coffee taste.

If sugar is more your jam, then by all means, add the full amount of sugar to your Dalgona coffee recipe.

I think we could all use a little more fun and play these days, which is why I’ve been making tons of recipe videos for IGTV and for YouTube. The hardest part about making recipe videos for both channels is one is horizontal and the other is vertical.

IT REALLY DOES TASTE LIKE WHIPPED COFFEE AKA WHIPPED CREAM

I really need to start filming two takes of each clip. One for IGTV and the other for YouTube so that all channels are happy and getting equal love.

How is everyone holding up? I think we can all agree on one thing. We have all become better cooks and stronger bakers through this strange time. I know that even as a food blogger, my chef skills have been taken up a notch.

Here are some other positives that have taken place. I’m working on purging everything we don’t need in our house and selling unused items. It feels great to release stuff, let it go, and live in a cleaner home.

Our next huge project is to clean out and do a complete overhaul on our garage. We have a farmhouse garage so it’s not a suitable space for storing anything.

We are donating nearly everything in that we don’t use. The next phase of the project is to install sheetrock and installation so it’s more of a garage and less of a cobweb box of dust. It’s a huge undertaking, but I know the end result will be worth all of the stress now.

DRINK YOUR WORRIES AWAY WITH THIS DELICIOUS COFFEE TREND

The other big project we are working on this spring is to re-paint our house. Our tiny little farmhouse needs a new paint job and I’m excited to get started! We’ve picked navy blue for the main parts of the house and white for the trim. It will look like we have a new house by the time we are finished!

I’m not really shopping these days so I’m not bringing in a bunch of new items into our home that will end up giving away in a few months. This whole situation has really brought to light what truly matters and that’s more time with people, less time in stores.

I’ve also found a new love for baking. I loved baking before, but lately I’m really into baking fresh bread and pastries from scratch. My current project is learning how to bake sourdough bread. I love that the starter for it is truly like taking care of a pet.

I hope everyone is finding new ways to be creative during this interesting time. I also hope you enjoy my version of the epic Dalgona coffee recipe. Try it and have fun with it! Cheers to all of the coffee drinking, baking, purging, and organizing!

Dalgona coffee is a wonderful recipe to make with kids because it’s so fun! The other wild part about Dalgona coffee is that it’s literally whipped cream coffee so you can store leftovers in the fridge and have whipped coffee to use as yummy dessert toppings. If you want to make double this amount, simply double all of the ingredients in this recipe.

    Ingredients:

    • 2-tablespoons instant coffee
    • 2-tablespoons coconut sugar or granulated sugar
    • 1-cup whole milk
    • 1-cup ice

    Instructions:

How to cook How To Make Dalgona Cofee

    1. Using a stand mixer, beat the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the color changes to a golden brown and the mixture takes on a whipped cream-like consistency.
    2. The texture should be similar to whipped cream, aka whipped coffee.
    3. If you don't have a stand mixture, you can also use egg beaters.
    4. Pour ice into a glass, along with the milk. Add a dollop of the Dalgona coffee to the top of the milk and mix it in.
    5. Drink and enjoy!

Well, this looks so do-able! I'll have to use decaf, and cut the sugar, but what a nice presentation of a fun project.
