    • Lemon Juice (fresh squeezed lemon juice)
    • Heavy Cream

    • Condensed Milk
    • Lemon Zest
    • Honey
    • Vanilla Extract
    • Pumpkin Spice
    • Ice Cream cones (optional)

    • Cuisinart Ice Cream Machine
    • Vitamix Blender or any high-powered blender
    • Cake Loaf Pan

    🫐 How To Make Blueberry Lemon Ice Cream

    Prep Step!

    Prep Steps: Make sure your ice cream maker base has been in the freezer for 24 hours prior to making this recipe. Place the prepared ice cream maker attachment onto stand mixer fitted with the dasher.

    1. Step 1: Make sure your ice cream maker base has been in the freezer for 24 hours prior to making this recipe. In a blender, add the fresh squeezed lemon juice and blueberries and blend on high until a blueberry puree forms. The blueberries help bring out the lemon flavor!
    1. The blended blueberries should almost mimic a blueberry compote. Look at that gorgeous color!

    1. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, add the heavy cream, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice and mix until combined.
    1. Step 4: Add the blueberry puree to the milk base and mix until well combined. Top with fresh lemon zest and mix again.

    Step 5: Now, add the blueberry lemon ice cream base is ready for the ice cream maker. Turn on your ice cream maker, according to the ice cream maker instructions, and pour the prepared ice cream mixture into the ice cream maker base and let it mix for a half hour or until the ice cream starts to form. The colder the ice cream base is, the faster the mixture will turn into ice cream.

    Now, add the blueberry lemon ice cream base is ready for the ice cream maker. Turn on your ice cream maker, according to the ice cream maker instructions, and pour the prepared ice cream mixture into the ice cream maker base and let it mix for a half hour or until the ice cream starts to form.     If you are dairy-free, you can swap the heavy cream for almond milk or coconut milk. It may take longer to firm up in the ice cream maker, but if you don't mind waiting then you can still have delicious dairy-free blueberry lemon ice cream!     It's super easy! You do the exact directions, mix everything in a mixing bowl and combine. Then simply add the prepared blueberry lemon ice cream mixture to a pre-frozen cake loaf pan, seal with tinfoil, and pop in the freezer overnight. It will freeze the same way it goes in the ice cream maker.

    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
    • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

        Hi Greg! Thanks for your comment. It adds a bit of spice to the ice cream and I find the cinnamon helps to balance out the blueberry flavor a bit, but it's totally optional. 🙂
