Top Tip for Perfect Pancakes in the shape of a heart
- You can use different colors of gel-based food coloring to achieve different colors in the heart pancakes, and you can also use various-sized heart-shaped cookie cutters for heart shaped pancakes. This makes a super adorable breakfast recipe! You will have different heart shapes, and your guests will love this epic February recipe.
- You can add chocolate chips to your pancake batter or you can use whole wheat pancake mix for this pancake recipe.
Use the heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the heart shapes. You might need to use a sharp paring knife to fully cut the hearts if the cookie cutter edges are not too sharp. You can use various heart-shaped cookie cutters to make different heart sizes for your Valentine's pancakes. Use a metal heart-shaped cookie cutter for this.
Nope! You can use homemade strawberry syrup for this recipe, which you can find the recipe for in my homemade strawberry hot chocolate. You can also use raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries to make the coloring for these pancakes.
Another option is using a pastry bag or ziploc bag with a corner snipped off. A squeeze bottle works too, if you have one handy! When your pan is hot, just drip, pipe, or squeeze the outline of a heart, then fill in the outline as quick as you can with batter.
