    Fruity Tiramisu | A Fun Healthy Twist On A Classic Dessert!

    This fruity, refreshing, delicious dessert will be a hit at the dessert table and is so good that I suggest pairing it with a fresh cup of black coffee and eating a slice for breakfast. Seriously, this fruity tiramisu is so bright and vibrant that it will make you and your taste buds happy.

    I’ve loved Tiramisu since as long as I can remember. My Italian Grandmother made it every year around Christmas and it’s now a holiday family tradition that I’ve continued on in her legacy. I’ll be sure and get the traditional recipe up on the blog. This version of tiramisu is every bit as delicious as the classic, but it’s got a twist to it.

    My fruity tiramisu includes fresh strawberries, wild blueberries, mandarin oranges, and incorporates Greek yogurt in lieu of mascarpone cheese making this version lighter and healthier than it’s traditionally made. The other dreamy secret ingredient is Lantana’s Blueberry Hummus. Blueberry Hummus? Yes. It’s real and oh so delicious! I’m so excited to be partnering with Lantana on this blog post and feature another one of their amazing fruit hummus flavors.

    The blueberry hummus is one of my favorite flavors and has this gorgeous, vibrant purple blue hue to it. It’s magic in a container and tastes amazing as the main ingredient in this fruity tiramisu! I also think any excuse to eat cake is a good one! I’ve added heaping amounts of fresh fruit, yogurt for the filling, and ladyfingers dipped in tangerine juice.

    This tiramisu is super easy to make and the longer it sets in your fridge, the better it tastes! Give time for those flavors to gem together and you’ve got the perfect dessert (or dessert for breakfast anyone?) any day of the week! Plus, studies show that if you eat cake for breakfast you’ll be a happier person overall.

    This tiramisu has multiple layers of delicious fruit. The first layer are ladyfingers dipped in tangerine juice and then drizzled with honey-vanilla infused yogurt with a layer of strawberries, followed up by a layer of Lantana’s Blueberry Hummus, with the mandarin orange slices on top of that. Then, a layer of wild blueberries rounds out this fruity tiramisu for a vibrant, refreshing dessert!

    Recipe notes: Tiramisu is traditionally made with mascarpone cheese and eggs. This recipe is eggless and has no mascarpone cheese. It’s made with Greek Yogurt instead. If you love mascarpone cheese (I do too!) simply swap out the yogurt for mascarpone and mix it with egg. Follow the instructions on the mascarpone cheese to see how to do this.

    FRUITY TIRAMISU | A FUN, HEALTHY TWIST ON A CLASSIC DESSERT!

    This fruity, refreshing, delicious dessert will be a hit at the dessert table and is so good that I suggest pairing it with a fresh cup of black coffee and eating a slice for breakfast. Seriously, this fruity tiramisu is so bright and vibrant that it will make you and your taste buds happy.

    Serves: 4-6

    Prep time: 15-mins

    Cook time: 1-3 hoursIngredients:

    • 8-ounces Lantana Blueberry Hummus
    • 1-package of Ladyfingers
    • 1-cup fresh tangerine juice
    • 32-oz of Greek yogurt or European Style Whole Milk Yogurt
    • 1-tablespoon honey
    • 1-teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2-cups of fresh, sliced strawberries
    • 2-cups of fresh blueberries
    • 2-cups of fresh, sliced mandarin oranges
    • More blueberries for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. Dip ¼ of the ladyfingers in tangerine juice.
    2. In a baking dish, layer ¼ of the of the ladyfingers.
    3. Combine the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and honey.
    4. Spread a thin layer of the Greek yogurt mixture over the ladyfingers.
    5. Spread a thin layer of sliced strawberries over the yogurt.
    6. Spread a thin layer of the Blueberry Hummus over the ladyfingers.
    7. Spread a thin layer of the Mandarin Orange slices over the blueberry hummus.
    8. Spread another layer of the tangerine juice dipped ladyfingers over the hummus layer.
    9. Spread a thin layer of the Greek yogurt mixture over the ladyfingers.
    10. Spread a thin layer of strawberries over the yogurt.
    11. Spread a thin layer of mandarin oranges over the yogurt.
    12. Spread a thin layer of blueberry hummus topping over the mandarin orange layer.
    13. Top with more sliced strawberries and wild blueberries for garnish.
    14. Let the tiramisu set in the fridge for 1-3 hours before serving.
