🍎 Instructions For How To Make Baked Apple Rings
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Slice the apples into whole apple slices.
- Step 2: Make a hole in the center of each apple slice. You can use a frosting tip to do this with a knife. You can squeeze fresh lemon juice on the apple slices to keep them from browning.
- Step 3: Mix the cinnamon and sugar together on a plate until well combined. Dip each apple slice on both sides into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Step 4: Roll out the puff pastry dough and spread it out with a rolling pin. Using a pizza cutter, slice the rolled out puff pastry dough into 1-inch strips.
- Step 5: Wrap the apples in the puff pastry dough. It should take about two strips per apple slice to fully wrap the apples. Place the prepared apples on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush each apple puff with egg wash.
- Step 6: Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes until the puff pastry is crispy and golden brown.
Step 7: Let the baked apples cool for three minutes, and then drizzle them with caramel sauce and enjoy! You can also top them with whipped cream or make them ala mode with a scoop of ice cream! The flaky puff pastry, plus the cinnamon sugar and caramel, make this the perfect apple season treat!
Yes! I will frequently combine pear and apples in my apple recipes or swap pears for the apples if I'm out of apples.
I would say this apples wrapped in puff pastry recipe is probabaly one of the most unique and easy apples on the internet!
What is the best way to store Apple Pie Rings?
Store these on the countertop in a glass, airtight container for up to three days. No need to refrigerate them, as that may dry out the puff pastry. You can stash a batch of these in the freezer and simply reheat them on a baking sheet at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. They are best consumed right away or as fresh as possible.

Delicious!
Wanted to use up some apples in a recipe that was not a pie or crumble and came across this. Such a delicious way to use them and make the perfect sweet treat without the faff or effort of a pie.
We will be making them again soon.
Genevieve
That's so great to hear, Paula!

You read my mind! I hate making apple strudel because of the super thin batter and the anxiety of it all falling apart. These rings are the perfect easy version of it! I adored the crunchy cinnamon sugar topping and caramel sauce.
Amy
This was so fun to make and eat! Delicious!
