- Step 3: Add the maple syrup to the brewed espresso and stir.
- Step 4: Pour in the steamed milk and combine with the espresso.

☕ Substitutions For Cozy Maple Sea Salt Latte
If you are dairy-free or non dairy then coconut milk or almond milk would be delicious in this latte. If heavy cream is too dense for you, but you are team dairy then I suggest whole milk for this recipe. Whichever route you go, make sure you use high-quality milk for this maple sea salt latte. A high-quality latte deserves high-quality milk. 😉
☕ Equipment
I suggest this Nespresso machine for this recipe. It's affordable and makes really delicious, high-quality espresso from all over the world. Any espresso machine will do. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can brew dark roast coffee and use twice the amount of beans that you would for regular coffee. Or use Instant espresso as this is a good option and has the same crema that a Nespresso pod does. I also use a milk steamer to steam my milk. There is an instruction card below now how to steam milk on the stovetop.
☕ How To Steam Milk?
There are many different ways to steam milk. Using a milk steamer aka a milk frother is the easiest and most reliable option, but you could also use a milk wand which is really popular and cheap! Or the good old-fashioned way, the stovetop. Instructions for steaming milk on the stovetop: Pour milk into a saucepan and heat it over low to medium heat. While the milk warms, whisk it quickly with a balloon whisk or handheld frother to create a light foam. The milk should reach a temperature of around 125°F.
