Chia Seed Pudding Cups 3-Ways | Easy Summer Recipe

I'm always looking for easy-peezy summertime snacks and although summer is coming to an end, August is typically the hottest month of the year. (Hey hot August nights!) So with all the end of the season traveling and last minute camping trips that are bound to happen, I wanted to make a recipe for you guys that would be super quick to whip up and delicious to eat regardless of what temperature it is outside. These protein powerhouses pack a powerful punch and with a small ice pack can literally be taken anywhere on the go. I feel like summer flew by and I would like to start over please. Who's with me? Can we go back to June?

I have been spending as much time as possible outdoors. If I had the option of staying in vs. being outside, I choose outside, because I feel free outside. I don't have the literal "walls are closing in on me" feeling when I'm outside running, kayaking, or playing in the sand building sand castles like my 5-year-old self. There is a strong sense of freedom that comes along with being outdoors and I'm sure it's connected to my anxiety. The more I'm outdoors, the better off I feel. That is part of the reason why we've been building a deck. It's a slow and steady process that is taking some time, but I love building stuff. I love the thrill of the beginning of something and watching it evolve and morph into something else is really cool. Building stuff is in my family, my dad is a carpenter and my Grandfather on my dad's side built houses for a living. How neat is it to say you made something with your bare hands? I suppose that's why I love creating recipes and cooking for people. I get to make delicious foods and watch people grin ear to ear, it's truly the best feeling.

These delicious chia seed pudding cups can be made with all kinds of goodies. I made three different kinds and used what I had on hand, and you can swap any ingredients to your liking.

The first variation is Passionfruit made with Vital Proteins Lavender Lemon Collagen Beauty Water and the lavender gives it a nice relaxing, calming scent to it. Perfect for busy mornings on the go.

Healthy-Ish Strawberry Collagen Shortcake Bars

We usually have plans on the Fourth of July weekend. We are typically on the road exploring new places with no key destination in site. I'm really good at the spontaneous: "Let's go camping!" trips and we rally together and pack last minute snacks, corral our doggies, and hit the road. That's not happening this year though and I have to admit I'm not so good at staying home. Even though I'm technically doing a "staycation" in my hometown, I'm terrible at it. I keep making the epic mistake of going on social media and eyeing everyone's fun posts when what I really should be doing is relaxing. Relaxing? Yeah, that's a good joke! Moving on. I published these beauties on IG the other day and the video has taken off! These Healthy-Ish Strawberry Collagen Shortcake Bars will send you to your knees. Literally! They are delicious, creamy, rich, and you want to know what the best part is? They won't send you into a sugar crash later on in the day. You can eat these for breakfast with a side of hot coffee or pair them with some delicious coconut cream iced coffee.

While coming up with th recipe for these delicious Strawberry Collagen Bars, I was worried they would not turn out right without the use of refined sugar. But thanks to Vital Protein's Collagen Peptides and Coconut Sugar, these bars taste better than the original sugar-lad version. I've been taking Vital Proteins Collage Peptides for over a year now and I'm in love. My skin stays hydrated, I have higher energy levels, and my muscles recover faster after a workout. The scars on my skin are healing quickly, and I feel like I look good even if I didn't get a great night's sleep. I also have more muscle mass and look defined and strong. Collagen has been a game changer for me and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a change. Not sure about Collagen? Leave your questions below and I'm happy to answer them or hit me up on Instagram here.

This recipe is called healthy-ish because it's cleaner than your fuller versions of strawberry shortcake and it's made with coconut sugar rather than refined sugar. It also uses half the butter that the OG recipe uses. So without further ado, let's get baking shall we?

Preheat oven to 350-degreees.

Grease loaf pan (I use coconut oil spray for mine)

Make sure you have a Kitchen Aid Mixer or a mixing bowl and egg beaters as these are both required to make the shortcake.

1-cup of organic coconut sugar

1/2-cup of organic grass-fed butter

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

2-organice eggs

2-tbs of organic bourbon vanilla extract

1.5 cups of organic flour or coconut flour

3/4-teaspoon of organic baking powder

1/2-cup of organic half-n-half or coconut milk (your choice!)

1/2-tsp of Himalayan sea salt

Recipe Steps:

Cream butter and sugar together

Next, add the eggs and mix all ingredients together

Once everything is combined, Add the collagen peptides, organic flour, vanilla extract, sea salt, and baking powder, mix on the medium setting.

While everything is mixing, slowly add the heavy cream.

Once everything is combined, pour mixture into a greased loaf pan.

Cook at 350-degrees for 30-minutes, and make sure to keep an eye on it while it's baking. To make sure it's done, take a fork and poke it gently through the top. You'll know it's done when the fork is clear.

Let cool for 30-minutes, slice, and then top these yummy bars with organic sliced strawberries, and homemade whip cream that also uses Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides.

The possibilities are endless! Check out the recipe video below and don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed this recipe!

Will you guys be enjoying this yummy, easy recipe this weekend or on the fourth of July? This is super fun to make for the entire family!

May you all have a happy and safe Fourth of July!

Tropical Pork Shish Kabob's In Under 30-Minutes!

Sponsored post is written by me on behalf of Smithfield® Marinated Fresh Pork. The opinions and text are all my own.

The days are warming up and the nights are lasting longer. Kids are spending more time outside and there is freshness in the air that only comes with summer. It's time to get outside as much as possible and spend time with family, friends, and loved ones. Cooking in the heat is the last thing on my mind and I want to be able to cook something fresh and easy for those hot summer nights. My husband has been working 7-days a week and I've been capturing tons of summer weddings and going to graduate school for nutrition. To say we are busy is an understatement! We love eating at home because we can cook up healthy, no fuss recipes and dinnertime is when we spend quality time together. No matter how busy we get, we always make sure to eat dinner together. I came up with a fun, quick, healthy, meal that's easy to make any summer night of the week!

I went to Safeway and picked up some Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork in the fresh meat section. I love Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork because it delivers real flavor real fast! It also doesn't have any artificial ingredients, which is really important to us. The great thing about Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork is it comes in many different flavors, such as Hardwood Smoked Bacon, Steakhouse Mushroom, Applewood Bacon, and Roasted Garlic and Herb to name a few! But when I saw that Safeway had Smithfield Marinated Fresh Roasted Garlic and Herb Pork Loin Filet, I knew I had to have it! Garlic is my jam and I basically put it on everything. I love that Smithfield Pork is slow marinated and seasoned, so the prep work is done for you, making this the easy summer dinner option. Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork also comes in a variety of fresh cuts, which works for all kinds of yummy dinner options. The best part about Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork is you can roast, sauté, grill or slow-cook it for an easy and delicious meal in under thirty minutes!

I've been craving shish kabobs lately and they are super easy to make! The Roasted Garlic and Herb Pork Loin Filet delivers real flavor, real fast and is perfect for making shish kabobs! In less than thirty minutes, you will have a meal that works for dinner, lunch, and maybe even breakfast if you're up for it. For these tropical pork shish kabobs I used a colorful variety of fresh fruit and veggies!

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350-degrees.

How I cooked the Smithfield Pork Loin Filet:

I really wanted a smoky flavor to my Tropical Pork Shish Kabobs so I seared the pork loin filet in a cast iron skillet for 3-minutes on each side and browned it. You don't need to sear the meat for too long! Doing so will overcook it, just sear it for a few minutes on each side to get it nice and crispy and to add an extra smoky flavor to it.

Step 2: Place the pork loin filet in a roasting pan in the oven for 20-minutes. Set the timer and while the pork loin filet is roasting, prep your shish kabobs!

Check out the full recipe on YouTube below!

What you'll need for Tropical Pork Shish Kabobs:

  • Smithfield Roasted Garlic and Herb Pork Loin Fillet
  • Bamboo Skewers
  • Pineapple
  • Bell peppers (various colors)
  • Red onion
  • Zucchini
  • Yello squash
  • Red onion
  • Fresh garlic

Step 3: Chop fruit and veggies into chunky pieces, big enough to slide over bamboo sticks. Once chopped, set fruit and veggies aside.)

Step 4: After 20-minutes, remove the pork loin filet from the oven and slice. It should be slightly pink in the middle.

Step 5: Now you’re ready to make Tropical Pork Shish Kabobs! Place each item on the bamboo skewer in the order you prefer, but remember to have a good meat to veggie ratio. Next, wrap the shish kabobs in tinfoil and place in oven for 5-minutes on broil.

Step 6: Remove the shish kabobs from the oven and enjoy! They should be crispy on the outside but tender on the inside.

6 Vibrant, Creative, Ways To Make Your Bulletproof Coffee

My morning's typically start like this: Wake up, do a quick am yoga stretching session, oil-pull, brush teeth, wash face, and let my clan of beasts outside, (Release the hounds!) and make bulletproof coffee. And not the typical recipes you see everywhere because each day I make a different concoction. Fat coffee and I go way back, we were drinking together long before all you kids were making it on Instagram. I've been adding coconut oil to my coffee since high school (before Coconut Oil is all the rage that it is today) and I've always added spices to my coffee to make the various flavors of the coffee bean stand out even more. You could say that Bulletproof Coffee and I were meant for each other. There are many other names for Bulletproof coffee--fat coffee, oil coffee, butter coffee (I believe they call it a Mammoth Coffee at Whole Foods.) There are hundreds of names for one basic thing: Adding fat or MCT oil to your coffee.

I add all kinds of stuff to my morning, Joe. I started out with my OG recipe which has never failed me (see recipe below).

I use dark roast coffee from our local coffee roasters, the darker the better. You could also add espresso if you're too cool for drip coffee. (Insert laughing emoji here.) I love me some good espresso, but I find using drip coffee brings out the coffee flavors more accurately than overpowering the drink with the pungent, strong flavors from the espresso shot.

Background on Beef Gelatin:

Beef Gelatin (you can purchase that here  if you want and it's free shipping if you have Amazon Prime.) Beef Gelatin is flavorless and tasteless and has amazing benefits if added to your coffee correctly. I add 1-scoop to my morning coffee, you really don't need more than 1-scoop as using more is not necessarily better. Vital Proteins Beef Gelatin comes from grass-fed, pasture raised bovine hides, more specifically Beef Gelatin comes from collagen, the soft protein that connects skin, bones, muscles, and tendons, aka, the connective tissues of the animal. Beef Gelatin that comes from a natural source without added fillers or colors is the best way to go. In other words, consuming brand name Jello is a whole other animal and is not the same thing as consuming Beef Gelatin from a natural source.

The benefits of taking Beef Gelatin on a regular basis are more youthful skin, healthier, stronger hair, and stronger nails. Personally, I've found since taking beef gelatin once a day, my brittle hair has come full circle and it's shiny and strong. The other thing I've noticed is how fast my nails grow and how strong they grow. Beef Gelatin has been proven to help strengthen joints and ligaments and being a former athlete in high school and college, my knee pain has dissipated immensely. I also recover faster from a workout and am not as sore for as long. Beef Gelatin has also been proven to aid in digestive issues and helps build a stronger immune system. I can tell you this much as far as that goes, I rarely get sick (knock on wood). I've never really had digestive issues, but lets put it this way. Everything flows the way it's supposed to!

G's OG Coffee Recipe:

1-tbs of organic coconut oil- You can buy any brand, I buy mine in bulk from Costco and the Kirkland brand is just as good as any brand out there, if not better because of where it's sourced from and the price.

1-scoop of Vital Protein's Beef Gelatin

1-scoop of Vital Protein's Vanilla Whey Protein Powder

1-tbs of turmeric and 1-dash of pumpkin spice. You can make your own homemade pumpkin spice, it's easy. Find my blog post on how to do that here. You can purchase turmeric in bulk here

Tons of Raw Honey-Pick your potion here, I get mine from our farm, but you can buy the good stuff from your local farmers market or another favorite brand of mine can be found here.

How I make it: I blend all of my coffee concoctions in a Vitamix and feel it's worth every single expensive penny. You can find one that's been refurbished here or you can purchase it new here and Costco usually has amazing deals on them!

Get Foamy With It: I get asked a lot on my IG stories how do I get all the foam? Well, Beef Gelatin and a blender are how. When you blend beef gelatin or collagen peptides you get foam. There is a science behind it that you can google. The foam is one of the best parts of drinking Bulletproof coffee!

The jist of it: I add coconut oil, beef gelatin, vanilla whey, raw honey, and spices first. Next, I add organic half-n-half, but if you're dairy free that's cool too! Get creative with it and make it your own! Next, I add the hot coffee and blend on the medium-high setting. After everything is blended up, I let it settle to get that thick, crema, frothy, foamy layer.

Sometimes I'll make it differently by adding just Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides which is another amazing, flavorless option that is also wonderful for your hair, skin, nails, joints, and maintaining stable energy levels. It also dissolves in your coffee right away and does get foamy when blended.

Toppings: I make up various creations all of the time, but my favorite toppings to use are turmeric, cinnamon, raw cacao nibs, pumpkin spice, rose petals, dried flowers, dried lavender buds, hibiscus, and so much more. I base my toppings off my mood for that day and I get as creative with it as possible. The more vibrant looking the coffee, the better my day!

Colored Milks- I like to add various colored milk and tea to my coffee concoctions. I make homemade beet milk using organic beet juice and heavy whipping cream, you can also use almond milk, coconut milk, or whole milk. Keep in mind though that if you chose to use a non-dairy alternative, the colored milk will not come out as vibrant.

I also make green tea milk using hemp milk and matcha powder. Along with blue milk using spirulina powder and honey.

How do you guys like to play with your morning coffee? What other drinks should I try to get my day started? Comment below and let me know the ways you like to start your day!

My Favorite Things At Trader Joe's!

When I think of my favorite places in the world, Trader Joe's comes to mind. Yes, I know that sounds crazy, it's also hilarious because I've have not been to every single glorious place on this earth, but truly when I think of my favorite places to go, Trader Joe's is in on my top ten. I'm the girl who use to go to multiple stores to get everything on my grocery list. I would go to Bel-Air, Whole Foods, Costco (I still go to Costco) Sprouts, and Trader Joe's just to get everything on my list. It would take me three hours to grocery shop and which it still takes the same amount of time because well I adore Trader Joe's, but now I stick to Trader Joe's and Costco. I'll do favorite things Costco post in the future, but this post is solely dedicated to my bee's knee's, my soul-mate, my foodie haven, my cloud nine, my ever-adoring Trader Joe's. (Insert 700 eye heart emoji's here.) I adore Trader Joe's, I love the people who work there, their products, their store displays, their samples, their coffee samples! Everything about Trader Joe's aligns perfectly with everything I eat! Their packaging is hilarious and they actually sell top notch brands (disguised under the Trader Joe's name) for affordable, family friendly, prices. I get asked all of the time what my Trader Joe's favorite's things are so I decided to take a few hours, photograph my favorite products and explain in detailed descriptions below each photo why I love each product and how I use them. This list is pretty long, but that's because Trader Joe's has SO many amazing things! This list is in no particular order, just all of the amazing things that we eat on a daily basis. If you have any suggestions or favorite products that I should try or add to this list, please let me know in the comments section below.

Eat Your Veggies! I cannot stress enough how important it is to eat tons of veggies of all different colors, as many different types as possible, and mostly organic if you can swing it. TJ's does not disappoint on the veggie train. They've got all the various salad mixes, some even come with the dressings and toppings to boot! The first stop I make in Trader Joe's (after the flowers of course, duh) is the produce section. Now, this is typically their busiest section with everyone and their mom attempting to grab produce. I have some tricks up my sleeve though. Grab your bell peppers, radishes, celery, and shredded carrots first. That way, while everyone is fighting to grab one thing of each and zig-zagging through the aisles, you've got your bases covered. Next, I grab my salad essentials, which is basically ALL the salad from TJ's, from kale to romaine, to the chipotle salad, and butter lettuce! I grab it all.

My top five choices are listed below:

1. Organic Baby Spring Mix-Great for salads, salads, and oh yeah, more salads!

2. Arugula! Said in the Dad's voice from family guy (haha) I use Arugula in everything, bagels, on top of pizzas, salads, lasagna, if it can have a green on it, I'll add arugula to it.

3. Don't Kale my vibe! Okay, not but seriously kale is amazingly good for you! It's chalk full of iron, B vitamins, and has been proven to combat cancer cells. Eat all the kale my beauties!

4. Butter Lettuce- I use it on my burgers and sliders, on omelets, on sammies, on well, everything. I love butter lettuce because it's always crispy and fresh. Yummy!

5. Southwestern Chopped Salad- I'm not the biggest fan of this salad, but it's great for when you're too lazy to cook and need something easy!

Microgreens and Herbs

After I go through the salad section, I always go straight for the microgreens and cilantro. Micro-greens are amazing on smoothie bowls, salads, bagels, eggs, and meat, especially steak. Micro greens are beneficial to your health because studies show that micro-greens like red cabbage, cilantro, and radish contain up to 40 times higher levels of vital nutrients than their mature counterparts if eaten properly. These little guys pack a powerful punch and are awesome to add to everything, so don't forget your micro greens! The next thing I always pick up from Trader Joe's is a fresh bunch of cilantro. I'm one of those weird people who loves cilantro on my salad and in my salad dressing. I'm addicted to the stuff and convinced it would taste delicious in ice cream. (Another recipe for another time).

Carrots, Garlic, Onions, Radishes

And (not pictured) but Frozen Cauliflower Rice, of course! It makes smoothies super creamy and you can't beat the added fiber. Frozen Caulflower Rice is affordable and delcious!

I typically make at least 2-salads in a day, if not more. I can't help it I adore salads! They're easy and super versatile to make. On those epic salads, I a usually add tons of shredded carrots because the work there is already done. On meat, I add the amazing chopped and whole garlic from Trader Joe's, especially for marinades and such. TJ's now also had chopped sweet onion which is amazing for meatballs, chicken, again hamburgers. Trader Joe's also has these amazing rainbow carrots which I'm obsessed with and use for roasting chicken and sheet pan dinners.

Let's talk about fruit baby! Let's talk about you and me!

I'm such a dork, I know, but seriously fruit is SO good for you! I try to eat it at least 5-times per day and choose it over a chocolate craving any day. Well...maybe not any day, but you catch my drift. ;-)

We are lucky to have access to an abundance of fruit during the fall, spring, and summer months at no cost to us, so I've only got the essentials on here that I buy regularly. Keep in mind though--my fruit list is endless and I mean endless! We are lucky enough to get most of our fruit free, but the stuff I can't get free I buy at Trader Joe's. Basically, just strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, because those are the most highly sprayed fruits and I ALWAYS buy berries organic. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't buy your berries organic.

The next item I always buy at Trader Joe's is Pineapple because I cannot live without the stuff. And did you know that pineapple has more vitamin-c than an orange and has as high of fiber content as broccoli. I could live on the stuff!

Now we drink! I love drinks! Although not the kind you may be thinking of. I quit drinking alcoholic beverages in 2014 and haven't looked back. It's been one of the best decisions I have ever made. So since I don't drink anymore, some may find this list boring but these are my favorite drinks from Trader Joe's.

Green Tea- This stuff is magic and costs under $2.99! Cheap and works wonderfully for ice tea. Here's one of my summer drink hacks:

Tangerine Juice- I'm basically made of coffee, water, and tangerine juice. I take tangerine juice with my daily iron supplement to help my body absorb the iron better.

Summertime Drink Recipe (You can add vodka to it if you do partake in the adult beverage land.)

  • 1-cup of unsweetened blueberry pomegranate or regular green tea.
  • 1-cup of Tangerine Juice
  • 1-cup of Unsweetened Cranberry Juice
  • 1-can of Cranberry-Raspberry La-Croix over ice and this is the perfect summer drink! You're welcome!

Cold Brew Coffee- Let's repeat that one more time, Trader Joe's now has COLD BREW ICED COFFEE-Dream come true! And guess what? Rumor has it, that it's actually Stump-town, which makes sense because it taste's exactly like Stump-town. Also, it's only $2.99! Cheap and delicious! I consider myself a coffee expert and it tastes better than most expensive cold brew coffees that you can buy elsewhere. It's also nitrogen infused and it makes the best foam. It's now a regular staple on my Trader Joe's grocery list. (See photo below of this other magical gem from Trader Joe's.)

Organic Carrot Tumeric Juice Blend-

This juice packs a powerful punch and it actually tastes really good! It's made with cracked black pepper, lemon juice, turmeric, and chili pepper powder. It's chalk full of beta-carotene and is a fantastic immunity booster. This is also a new TJ's item that has become a staple on my grocery list.

Pineapple Juice--I live on this stuff! I take my daily dose of Oil of Oregano with it and you can't even taste it.

Organic Pineapple Coconut Water- This stuff if amazing right after a hot yoga class. It's chalk full of electrolytes and is rich and delicious!

Meat! Meat! Meat! Not pictured here is all the meat I typically buy from Trader Joe's. Ladies, as much as you want to say you hate eating meat, your body needs it. We are carnivores and we were built to consume meat. As long as it's organic, grass-fed, and pasture raised then you're okay! If you can get proper and complete nutrients from not eating meat, then Bravo! You've found the best-kept secret that many people are still looking for. I have to eat meat, specifically red meat in small quantities. I stopped eating meat for a long time and ended up in the hospital with a hemoglobin level of 6. So yes, eat your meat folks! Check out my list below for the meats and protein I buy on the regular from Trader Joe's.

1. 85% lean organic grass-fed beef.

2. Kosher Turkey (I always buy Kosher turkey and poultry) better for you, better for the birds, and better and for the environment.

3. Bacon- I love to buy the bacon bits and ends from Trader Joe's, it's the easiest to cook with and it has a maple flavor so it tastes really delicious.

4. 80% lean organic ground pork- We use pork in rice bowls, in lieu of burgers (sometimes) pork tacos, and pork meatballs. There's more, I just can't remember it at the moment.

Spice Spice Baby! -If you follow me on Instagram then you know how obsessed with spices  I am. Turmeric and pumpkin spices are my jam, and I use all the spices below (and more) on a daily basis.

I use turmeric and pumpkin spice in my bulletproof coffee every single day. I also use both spices in my smoothie bowls, and in nearly everything else.

The benefits of turmeric--It's a natural anti-inflammatory and has been proven to fight tumor cells.

Pumpkin Spice--Cinnamon, Cardamon, Ginger, Lemon Peel, Nutmeg, and Cloves. I have been taking this stuff for years and I love it. Fun fact: Trader Joe's only comes out with this gem once a year during the fall months, so make sure to stock up in the fall like I do!

Everything But The Bagel Seasoning--Is there anything I really need to say here? It's everything but the bagel, and if you like Everything Bagels, then you are going to LOVE this stuff. I hope TJ's never stops selling this stuff, but you know they are known for short term love affairs so will see.

Everyday Seasoning-This stuff is like the holy grail of spices, it's got sea salt, mustard seeds, black peppercorn, coriander, onion, garlic paprika, and chili pepper. See what I mean? Holy grail.

Onion Salt (New!)-Granulated onion, granulated garlic, minced onion, kosher salt, green onion, and dried chives. I'm still getting to know this gem, but so far I like it. I love it for burgers and meatballs.

Chili Lime- Awesome on fruit, especially watermelon!

Season Salt-OMG!!! This stuff is the bomb! I bought 4 of them immediately when they came out and I love it! It's the perfect blend of salt for potatoes. And fries. And tater tots, sliced potatoes, and did I mention potatoes? This stuff is the bee's knees! And it does not taste like top ramen seasoning at all and that saying cheapens it and insults this beauty. TJ's better keep this stuff around because I, many others, are obsessed!

Snacks and Yummikins! This list could literally be over 500-items long, but I had to condense it down because it was getting to the point where things were just being added and I realized that it would only be beneficial to you guys if I put my top snacky-snack and treaty-treat favorites so here they are! But let's be honest TJ's has ALL the amazing snacks!

These are the snacks I use the most (except the Marshmallows, I rarely eat these, but they are delicious!) Freeze Dried Strawberries and Freeze Dried Raspberries-Easy on-the-go snack that I take with me hiking, running, in the car, on errands, wherever, and everywhere. These little fruits back a big punch and have no added sugar which is super important to me. Fruit is naturally sweetened and doesn't need added sugar. And Mango of course, because it's another great on-the-go snack!

Organic Unsweetened Dried Pineapple- Another constant staple in my pantry, because it's the perfect snack for my beach bag or rock climbing bag. Pineapple also stabilizes blood sugar, so go for this when a sugar craving comes on.

Organic Unsweetened Coconut Chips- I use these on everything, from my bulletproof coffee creations to smoothie bowls, to salads. Again, coconut doesn't need added sugar, only buy the unsweetened kind for the most benefits.

Granola-Sometimes I love it, sometimes I don't. I usually make my own because it's cheaper and tastes better but the Ancient Grains and Nuts Granola is a fantastic substitute when you don't have the time to make the homemade stuff.

All the Chocolate--Need I say more? Trader Joe's has TONS of amazing chocolate and if I can, I will devote an entire other post to all of their various amazing chocolaty concoctions. But my main squeezes are Dark Chocolate and the Golden Spiced Milk Chocolate Bar pictured below. Surprise! It's got Turmeric in it!

Unsweetened Acai Smoothie Packs- Can you guess who makes these? Sambazon! Yup, you guessed right. These are way cheaper than the Whole Food's version and are the exact same brand just with the TJ's label smacked over it.

Chocolate Chip Sandwich Cookies--Warning! These are the most addictive cooking you are ever going to eat! Buy with caution!

Brownie Crisp Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches? Duh! These are little gems wrapped in a delicious, addictive chocolate suit and if I'm not careful, they will become a daily habit. Not really, but these are SO good and are perfect when the PMS gods decide it's time!

The next three snacks are in the middle are my new favorites and so far, I adore them! Those raw cacao nibs go wonderfully on and in coffee and those longboard, organic tortilla chips are delicious with fresh salsa and guac, of course.

Dinner Essentials

Pasta! We eat it every so often, I'm part Italian so you would think I would eat the stuff every night, but I can't anymore. Still, I love a good pasta dish every so often and TJ's has pasta super cheap! Penne is always a staple in our pantry. Their Marinara sauce is often overlooked, but I don't understand why, because it has no sugar and is a simple, authentic marinara sauce.

Jasmin Rice-We switched to Jasmin Rice from conventional rice and it was the best decision we ever made. The flavor is unbeatable and it's good with everything! I eat rice a few times a week, it doesn't make me gain weight, nor does it make me sick. Some people cannot eat it, but I love it and Trader Joe's sells it at a very low cost. It's also super EASY to make. Just rinse, and add to boiling water for 10-minutes. Then simmer for 5-minutes and remove from heat. Bam! Rice is done!

Cheese- I don't eat a ton of cheese, but when I do, these are my top three favorites, especially that parm!

Organic Whole Milk Yogurt- When I was heavy, I use to eat sour cream, now instead I eat this stuff on potatoes, in smoothies, and in desserts. It's lighter, lasts longer, and has added probiotics which are beneficial to maintaining gut health.

Organic EVOO- This is and will always be a staple in my kitchen. Don't shy away from Olive Oil and always buy the organic version. This stuff is amazing for your heart, cholesterol levels and skin.

Coconut Aminos- Another pantry essential that I use in lieu of soy sauce. This is made from coconut aminos and is a healthier alternative to high-sodium soy suace.

Bread's and Such! Sourdough from Trader Joe's (in my humble opinion) is the best bang for your buck! It's sour and chewy and has everything that good sourdough should have!

Onion Bagels-You guys see these on my IG stories ALL the time. I live for them! They are the only bagels I have found NOT made with refined sugar. They are made with honey and that's just fine with me.

Corn Tortillas- Taco's anyone?

Last, but certainly not least (and this list will continue to grow as Trader Joe's add more amazing things) but we can't forget about all the nut butter's!

Butter Favs:

Sunflower Seed Butter- I make granola with this and it's ahhhhmazing!

Organic Salted Peanut Butter- The name is just like it sounds! Peanuts and salt--that's it!

Coconut Oil Packs on the go!- Bulletproof coffee anyone? Facial Moisturizer on the go? Coconut Oil hair mask for the plane ride? Pack these!

Nut Butter- This is one of the best products Trader Joe's has ever made and I hope they keep it forever and ever and ever....

Oh no! I almost forgot...we can't forget about our fur-babies. Trader Joe's sells healthy doggies and kitty treats that are not made with corn. Do you know how damaging corn is to your furry kids? It's detrimental on their system and deteriorates their brain health. Luckily, Trader Joe's does not add corn to their treats. This one below is one I buy every few week for my kids. ;-)

That's a wrap on the ever-growing and never-ending Trader Joe's favorites list (for now) but I will continue to hunt down the best goodies to Trader Joe's every week and will continue to add to this list. Did I miss anything? What are your favorites from TJ's? What should I try? I've basically tried the entire store, but I'm always open to new things.

Comment below and let me know what is on your Trader Joe's must have list. I want to know what you guys love at my favorite store! I think it's everyone's favorite store, I mean how can it not be?
